Sophia grew up in the Chicago suburbs and pursued her undergraduate studies at Marquette University, where she earned a degree in Biology with a minor in Environmental Science. She later returned to Chicago to attend Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where she continued to build a strong foundation for her legal career.

During law school, Sophia worked with a range of law firms, experiences that prepared her well for her role at Atom Law Group. Her internships involved substantial document review and provided early exposure to drafting legal agreements. She also worked at a boutique firm in the Chicago suburbs focused on patent and trademark prosecution, where she gained hands-on experience with the USPTO and its electronic filing systems.

Sophia values the breadth of her legal work and enjoys the constant opportunity to learn. She is drawn to the variety inherent in her practice and appreciates that each day presents new challenges and subjects to master.

Outside of work, Sophia enjoys staying active through hot yoga, cooking, and caring for her growing collection of plants. She is also passionate about community involvement and volunteering, finding those experiences both meaningful and grounding. She has volunteered at several legal aid clinics and with Chicago Public Schools, opportunities that have allowed her to learn from and give back to the communities around her. Sophia has beginner-level Spanish proficiency and, as a fun fact, has enjoyed horseback riding since first grade—a hobby she still returns to from time to time.
