AMY VERRANDO

Associate Attorney

averrando@atom.law

Juris Doctorate - Loyola University Chicago School of Law

Bachelor’s Degree – University of Minnesota - Twin Cities

Amy grew up in the Chicago suburbs and pursued her undergraduate studies at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities, where she studied English, Psychology, and Outdoor Recreational Education. She later returned to the Chicago area to attend Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where she continued to build a strong foundation for her legal career.

During law school, Amy gained valuable experience through internships with the American Bar Association and the Illinois Housing Development Authority — opportunities that deepened her understanding of both institutional legal work and housing and community-focused advocacy. These experiences shaped her commitment to using her legal skills in service of others.

Amy is motivated by advocacy. She approaches her practice with a genuine drive to represent and support the people she works with, and she values the variety and constant learning that legal work demands.

Outside of work, Amy enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her dog. She stays active through rock climbing and disc golfing, and she has a passion for travel and reading. She has basic proficiency in both Spanish and Bahasa Melayu — and as a fun fact, she can ride a motorcycle.
