SohYoon Atac founded Atom Law Group LLC in 2007. SohYoon helps closely held entities and entrepreneurs effectively navigate both the immigration law and business law aspects of doing business in the United States. She also helps individuals and families gain permanent residence and citizenship in the United States. SohYoon has obtained approvals of employment and investment-related nonimmigrant visas (such as L-1, E-2, and O-1), immigrant visas or adjustment of status (via business and family relationships), and citizenship.

She has also overseen due diligence, negotiated favorable terms and side letters, and advised clients on corporate governance issues, in particular as they relate to the EB-5 process. SohYoon has counseled clients on structuring to take on investment, as well as advised individuals and companies interested in entering the U.S. market or investing in the United States. Whether negotiating with large commercial entities or guiding clients through the layers of compliance with government agencies, SohYoon brings a wealth of experience working with parties across state and national lines to champion her clients.

SohYoon has been invited to speak at trade associations and attorney conferences. She also serves as a trustee of the VanderCook College of Music. SohYoon has fundraised for and helped launch the college’s One City program. This brings jazz-based music education provided by VanderCook students and professors to Chicago Public School students in Bronzeville who did not previously have access to an instrumental music program.
