Mr. Atac works closely with companies and their executives to consistently attain business objectives. His clients include both domestic and foreign entities, whether they work entirely in the US market or engage in international commerce, and cover a variety of sectors from restaurants to retail to entertainment to manufacturing.

Mr. Atac first began helping foreign businesses successfully expand into the American market while working at an international business law firm in Chicago. Since then, he has helped American companies as well as those from countries like Sweden, France, and Turkey successfully enter or expand the market, manage product liability issues, and win contract disputes, among other concerns. In addition to his expertise in corporate matters, Mr. Atac has expertise in emerging LLC issues with experience in complex litigation involving the intricacies of LLC formation, management, member disputes, and taxation. At the same time, his experience in alternate dispute resolution, including mediation at the federal and state level, makes available the most efficient and cost-effective processes for clients.

Mr. Atac earned his law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law and his bachelors in studio arts from the Honors College at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He completed a judicial externship with a Federal District Judge where he got an insider’s perspective into the federal court process. He utilizes this experience when he strategizes for clients’ litigation as well as in transactions where he seeks to minimize clients’ liability and maximize their business opportunity. Mr. Atac is also known for his out-of-the-box strategies and solutions that creatively and efficiently resolve clients’ issues and help achieve their goals.

Before becoming an attorney, Mr. Atac worked as a debate coach and coached a number of successful debators and orators who have gone on to become excellent attorneys. Mr. Atac considers key this ability to communicate complex issues in order to effectively work together with clients. He is also fluent in Turkish and has been asked by the Turkish trade attaché’s office to speak on topics such as bilateral trade and investment. He also serves as legal advisor to the Turkish American Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Midwest. Mr. Atac is happy to function as that necessary bridge in international commerce and to serve American companies looking to expand into Turkey and Turkish companies looking to expand into the United States.
